#1 High Crotch, High Single, Knee Pull | #1 High Crotch (Head Outside Single)

With the ankle high in the left armpit, use your right hand to rotate the knee down so that it's facing the mat. You can grip the tendon located on the left side of the knee to get a little bit better of a handle. Turning the knee down will make the rest of his body follow, making him face away from you, and usually putting his hands on the mat. You'll then attack the free ankle with your right hand and wrap up the legs to get your takedown.

I recommend you focus on attacking and controlling both legs. There's a lot that can happen if you just jump to his hips and on top of him. Most likely he'll stand up before you get anything. He can grab wrist, post, cut, run out of bounds, time can run out, stalemate, etc. You need to secure your takedown as soon as possible. In college, two ankles is two points. That's all you need to get your takedown. You don't need to jump up that quickly, so be patient. At a younger age they will ask that you work up before they grant the two points, but let's train as if we're in college.
